Washington, DC (July 11, 2016) — The following is a statement from Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) International President Sara Nelson on the recent shootings in Baton Rouge, St. Paul, Dallas and Berrien County, Michigan.

Washington, DC (July 8, 2016) — The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) is disappointed with the proposed FAA Extension which ignores important safety policies including 10 hours minimum rest and a fatigue risk management plan (FRMP) for Flight Attendants. AFA International President Sara Nelson today sent a letter to Congressional Transportation leaders:

Washington, DC (June 30, 2016) – After months of intense pressure from a broad labor coalition, including the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) today denied an exemption for a foreign air carrier permit to Norwegian Air UK. AFA urges the DOT to close the door on Norwegian UK permanently by rejecting the foreign air carrier permit outright.

CHICAGO (June 29, 2016) - The leaders of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), representing United Airlines Flight Attendants, Tuesday night unanimously approved the tentative agreement for a joint collective bargaining agreement covering 25,000 Flight Attendants.

CHICAGO (June 24, 2016) - United Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), and United Airlines today agreed to terms on a joint collective bargaining agreement for 25,000 Flight Attendants. The agreement was reached with oversight of National Mediation Board (NMB) Member Linda Puchala.
