WASHINGTON (October 16, 2019) – On Thursday, October 17th, AFA will testify before the U.S. Senate Commerce, Science, & Transportation's Subcommittee Hearing on "Improving Security at America’s Airports: Stakeholder Perspectives" 

Sara Nelson, the international president of the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA), will testify at the hearing. She will focus on the importance of a federalized TSA, the Known Crewmember program, and more aviation security measures.

MILWAUKEE (October 11, 2019) –  On Tuesday, October 15th, United Express Carrier Air Wisconsin flight attendants, who are represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), will hold a demonstration at Mitchell International Airport (MKE) as they continue their fight for a fair contract that includes better pay and benefits.

HONOLULU  (October 7, 2019) – On Wednesday, October 9th, Hawaiian Airlines flight attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), will demonstrate at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) to protest protracted contract negotiations with Hawaiian Airlines management.

Washington, D.C. (October 1, 2019) — Hawaiian Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), are gearing up for a strike vote after mounting frustrations in mediated negotiations. Strike vote ballots will be sent to the over 2,100 Flight Attendants late this month, with a vote count scheduled for November 20, 2019.

WASHINGTON (October 1, 2019)  — The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) representing United Express Carrier Air Wisconsin flight attendants has again petitioned the National Mediation Board for a proffer of arbitration/release from mediation, which would start the clock for a potential flight attendant strike 30 days later.

(August 27, 2019) — The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) released the following statement on reports that the Trump administration will divert more than $255 million from the Department of Homeland Security to the border, including $116 million designated for Coast Guard operations, aviation security, and other operations.

Washington, DC (August 22, 2019) — U.S.-based Cathay Pacific Airlines flight attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA), today voted by 99 percent to ratify a first contract. The three-year agreement provides immediate pay increases, backpay,  schedule flexibility, and retirement security for flight attendants based in SFO, LAX and JFK.
