Association of Flight Attendants-CWA

WASHINGTON (March 19, 2020) — The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, representing 50,000 Flight Attendants at 20 airlines, today joined the entire U.S. aviation industry in a letter to Treasury Secretary Mnuchin, House Speaker Pelosi, House Minority Leader McCarthy, Senate Majority Leader McConnell and Senate Minority Leader Schumer to request the Administration and Congress work as one to act as quickly as possible to address the debilitating economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the industry.

WASHINGTON (March 11, 2020) — The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA President Sara Nelson released the following statement on President Trump's announcement on travel from Europe:

"The announcement by the President this evening of a thirty-day travel ban to Europe is irresponsible.

HONOLULU  – On Friday, March 13th, Hawaiian Airlines flight attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), will picket at Daniel K. Inouye Airport in Honolulu as their fight for a fair contract continues on.

SEATTLE (March 9, 2020) - Horizon Air Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), and Horizon Air management reached a tentative agreement. The four year agreement provides pay increases and improved work rules upon ratification for nearly 700 Flight Attendants.

Washington, D.C. (March 3, 2020) — The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA) is pressing for immediate operational actions to stop the spread of COVID-19. AFA President Sara Nelson released the following statement: 

"Flight Attendants know the aircraft cabin better than anyone. We have concrete actions detailed for the government and airlines to combat the spread of COVID-19.

HONOLULU – On Thursday, February 27th, the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) President Sara Nelson will be holding a press conference with AFA Hawaiian Leaders and Hawaiian Airline Flight Attendants to discuss the status of Hawaiian Airline Flight Attendants contract negotiation status.

Washington, D.C. (February 24, 2020) — U.S.-based Norwegian Air Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA), have a tentative agreement for a first contract covering over 500 Flight Attendants.

WASHINGTON (February 20, 2020) – The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) announced today that International President Sara Nelson will travel to Honolulu next week to support Hawaiian Airlines Flight Attendants in their negotiations with Hawaiian Airlines management.

Washington, DC (February 14, 2020) — GoJet Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), today voted to ratify a first contract. The five year agreement provides immediate pay increases, job security, and work rules with defined scheduling for the nearly 400 GoJet Flight Attendants.
