Senate Passes COVID Relief & #ExtendPSP, Moves to Final Vote in the House

March 6, 2021—The Senate passed the American Rescue Plan! The bill will extend to our Payroll Support Program (PSP) through September 30, 2021, which keeps us connected to our jobs and healthcare. It also includes $1,400 survival checks, child tax credits, unemployment and more relief for all Americans.

Updated March 7, 2021 — Everything is still on track in the legislative process to again secure all of the protections of the Payroll Support Program (PSP) April 1, 2021-September 30, 2021. There’s no doubt we are all feeling the emotional toll of the chaos and uncertainty from July-December 2020, but we are now in an organized, step-by-step legislative process for the American Rescue Plan that has a deadline of March 14th, due to expiring unemployment benefits. President Biden has made this legislation the top priority of his administration.

COVID Vaccine Information for Aviation Workers

As travel ramps up, it's more important than ever that we help instill confidence in the safety of aviation. Since the first vaccines were approved, our union advocated for Flight Attendants to be included with other essential workers in priority groups for voluntary access. Now the vaccine is available for adults in the U.S. and children 12 and older.

First Hurdle to PSP Extension Cleared

February 5, 2021 — Budget resolution is a specific legislative process. A budget resolution is a set of instructions to congressional committees on how to spend money in a certain way. The resolution process can be more efficient since it only takes a majority of each chamber to pass.
