Take Action: Help Aussie Flight Attendants Fight Fatigue

May 31, 2024—Today, we joined our partners, the Flight Attendants Association of Australia (FAAA), as they launched the “Fatigue Doesn’t Fly” campaign. They are urging their governing body, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), to introduce mandatory flight time and rest regulations for cabin crew.

Take Action: Tell your Senators to stand up for our rights

May 30, 2024—Thanks to your advocacy, 178 Representatives signed on to a congressional letter to the National Mediation Board (NMB) that urged the agency to use all available tools to help us secure our contracts, including a release to a 30-day cooling-off period and strike deadline. Now it’s the Senate’s turn. Contact your Senators now and ask them to sign on to the letter to the NMB. 

Take a Confidential Survey on Flight Attendants’ Experiences with Health Care

May 28, 2024—Columbia University is running a confidential survey on the unique challenges that Flight Attendants face in meeting their health needs and preferences. Your participation is important in making sure our unique experiences with health care are heard and understood!

Honoring Memorial Day

May 24, 2024—This Memorial Day Weekend, we honor the sacrifice of so many. We rededicate ourselves to honoring their sacrifice by fighting for good jobs and healthy communities at home. We honor them and their families who have only the memory of their loved ones today. Memorial Day must live in our hearts every day. Stay safe and take care of each other.

AFA on Capitol Hill as Bipartisan “Safe Air on Airplanes Act” to Protect Passengers and Flight Crews Introduced in Congress

May 24, 2024—This week, Representative Maxwell Frost (D-FL), Representative Mike Lawler (R-NY) and John Garamendi (D-CA) introduced the bipartisan Safe Air on Airplanes Act, legislation to secure clean air on airplanes to ensure the safety of the nearly 3 million people including flight crews and passengers that fly daily.
