AFA Sues To Compel Delta Connection Carrier to Arbitrate Its Violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act

AFA Demands Reinstatement for Flight Attendants Who Raised Security Concerns
Washington, DC (January 9, 2015) – The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA) demands the reinstatement of the 13 Flight Attendants who were wrongfully terminated by United Airlines for refusing to fly on a plane without a full security inspection after ominous messages were found scrawled on the fuselage. AFA immediately filed grievances under its collective bargaining agreement with United seeking their reinstatement as Flight Attendants with full back pay and benefits restored. Alaska Airlines Flight Attendants Ratify New Contract

(December 17, 2014) – Alaska Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO, voted to accept a tentative contract agreement on Wednesday that offers significant improvements for the 3,400 Flight Attendants at Alaska. Assistance was provided through mediation by the National Mediation Board.
