Alaska-Hawaiian Merger Clears Final Regulatory Hurdle

September 17, 2024 — The Department of Transportation (DOT) has completed its review of the merger and granted an exemption authorizing transfer of international route authorities in the combination of Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines. This is the final regulatory hurdle. The merger will now proceed to financial close in the coming days.

AFA Held Remembrances to Never Forget

September 13, 2024 - The 2024 AFA Honor Guard held Remembrances around the country and our Honor Guard placed flowers and ensured our heroes name’s were read at the three national memorials and the Capitol. We stood alongside our union siblings from APFA, ALPA, APA, and the AFL-CIO Union Veterans Council as we renewed our promise to Never Forget.

September 6, 2024 — 17,000 of our CWA siblings have been striking against AT&T for nearly three weeks. Their unfair labor practice strike comes after weeks of bad faith negotiation from AT&T.
