PSA Flight Attendants hit the Picket Line in Massive Day of Action
August 22, 2025 - We showed up! Monday’s Day of Action was massive across our system with a record number of PSA Flight Attendants picketing. We sent a clear message to PSA and American management: it’s time for a living wage Contract Now!
Your Negotiating Committee with AFA International President Sara Nelson is hard at work right now at the National Mediation Board in Washington, D.C. pushing for a deal.
In a major development, seven Members of Congress representing areas around our bases have urged PSA CEO Dion Flannery to get this contract done!
The letters sent to PSA read in part, “I understand that PSA Flight Attendants working under the American Airlines brand are struggling to make ends meet under a contract that is years out of date and with pay and benefits that are well below those of other Flight Attendants in the industry. I also know regional Flight Attendants typically perform more passenger boardings during the course of their workday, but without the boarding pay that is becoming standard for Flight Attendants across the industry.”

- Representative Maxwell Frost (D-FL-10)
- Representative Mary Gay Scanlon (D-PA-5)
- Representative Mike Turner (R-OH-10)

We’re thankful for the solidarity on the picket line from other AFA Flight Attendants, APFA AA Flight Attendants, and union members from APWU, AFGE, AFSCME, Unite Here!, IUE-CWA, CWA District 2-13, CWA District 3, CWA District 4, Charlotte Metrolina CLC, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, Housing Justice Coalition of Charlotte, Ohio AFL-CIO, Philadelphia AFL-CIO, AFT Pennsylvania, TWU, TTD, SEIU, and the Teamsters.
